These were made by hand by local artisans for the tourist market. This one is exceptional beginning with the fabric itself. Every inch of the base fabric has been stitched into even perfect little pin tuck pleats to create that wonderful ribbed effect that you see. Bands of a crocheted lace are worked into the design at the lower skirt and
