Because of the way the dress is cut this would have been designed and then the lace applied to the fabric to accommodate the design

The buttons are glass pearls

The top is cut to blouse and be loose

The buttons show slight wear and scuffing but I am being pretty picky

Off the body it seems pretty but inconsequential

Constructed of a black wool that is warm but not so heavy as to be cumbersome when on. It buttons down the front with rounded black glossy buttons and when done up has this great swing feel to it like a military great coat but done as a cape! Excellent condition Fully lined in a black satiny rayon and closes with the buttons on the front.
