It is two separate pieces - the inner dress cannot be worn really with out the shell - the little silk top is more like lining than a true dress

simple short sleeves with just a bit of pretty gathering near the cuffs and a swingy A-line skirt

It is instantly recognizable and this one is in what looks to be dead stock condition. It still has a paper tag along the seam with the scribbled name of the person who would have sewn it together! I love the high signature shoulders and the skinny cut. The sequins cover every inch and are a glossy deep green. It is amazing and special!
