This is surely a piece by a designer as the quality and attention to detail are all there but since there is no tag it will forever be a mystery

Very well made and it looks to have been worn very little if at all

The handle is big enough that you can slip your arm through and wear it up on the shoulder

The top of the dress is set over this so that it blouses over the waist

It is from the Spring 1981 collection and I have included two reference photos of variations on it that are held in Museum collections
