Medals of this kind were awarded for patriotic purposes. Two medals show the portrait of Emperor Wilhelm II (Germany) and Emperor Franz Josef (Austria). On one medal is the Austrian double eagle. We acquired the medals years ago to use them as decoration for clothes from the time of the 1st World War. Very well preserved.
