Castellina Daino Bianco 20 Passito - Sweet wine (500ml bottle) then aged a further 6-8Despite its name ('white deer'), Daino Bianco is a 100% Merlot red from Fattoria Castellina's Montalbano vineyards. Destemmed, spontaneously fermented with around 20 days of maceration, aged 12 months in used barriques plus 6 in steel, with at least 6 further months in bottle before release. Intense ruby violet colour; aromas of cherry, forest berries, black pepper and wild spice; full, generous palate with a long, juicy finish. Region: Toscana IGT,
