Vintage Kurdish Herki Runner blue Stock Number: BR2084The Herki are one of the largest Kurdish tribes, leading a nomadic and semi nomadic lifestyle across the mountainous borderlands of Turkey, Iran and Iraq. These runners come from Turkey, woven by Herki weavers carrying a tribal tradition that has never been formalised or institutionalised. There are no workshops, no pattern books. The designs are bold geometric medallions, hooked lozenges, stepped hexagons and tribal symbols, all come from memory and
