It has banana like leaves, arranged in a fan shape that grow upright. Here in South Florida we grow it outdoors but it does well inside as well in the right environment, although you shouldnt expect any flowers inside. Leaves often split and is considered natural. This is usually due to winds or heavy rains (they are grown in shadehouses) So dont be alarmed if you see a split in
