Afghan Yekta Rug red rug Stock Number: BR2168Yekta rugs come from Afghanistan, and they are unlike anything else in Afghan weaving. The construction is what sets them apart. The weaver first creates a flat kilim base, then hand knots a raised pile on top of selected areas of the design. The result is a rug that moves between two textures within the same piece, flat weave and knotted pile existing together, creating depth and dimension that a standard rug or kilim simply cannot produce. This is
