The air spaced fluorite doublet has excellent chromatic correction across the visual spectrum. With the 1. 7x extender connected, the result is a quadruplet 600mm f 10 planetary scope with a large flat field. The extender can be removed, transforming the telescope into the standard FS 60CB 355mm f 5.
