It’s in very good condition aside from a slightly wobbly bottom and one minor chip on his hat

The family kiln was established by his grandfather in the early part of the Showa period in the Gojozaka area of Kyoto

It is made of iron and moulded to resemble a crescent-shaped koi suspended by two hooks
