As the early morning light started to shine on the mountains the clouds started to clear on one of the last sunny days along the coast

I zoomed in on this waterfall to capture the detail of the waterfall and then slightly moved the camera a little bit during the long exposure

Once I found the location again I searched nearby for better areas and set-up my tripod be aware of small cactus in the area as well

The Colorado State Capitol dome stands against a deep blue sky and with changing trees in the foreground

I did a day trip to Seward and when there either a cruise to Kenai Fjords National Park or a visit to Exit Glacier should be on your list

Mendenhall Lake and Glacier Presentation:Matted As the early morning lightMendenhall Glacier is located north of downtown Juneau in an area referred to as the valley. As the glacier slowly recedes the lake is forming and started to do so in 1931. If you follow the glacier up it will run into the Juneau Ice Field which is currently the 5th largest in North America. This image was taken around 8pm with a couple of hours of sunlight still remaining on this day. Just over the shore are some pieces of ice which right after I
