Silver Plated Owl Pendant | Antique Pin Conversion horse ring professionOwls have long associations with wisdom and academic achievement. The Greek goddess of wisdom, Athene, was often depicted with an owl, as was her Roman counterpart Minerva. This owl pendant was originally a vintage silver plated brooch (circa 1910). Our jeweler transformed the owl by removing the pin stem and welding on a sterling silver bail. The owl's face has red glass eyes and the piece measures 1. 65 inches from top to bottom by 1. 3 inches wide.
