Jane's painting Heartland Horror is inspired by the pulp detective magazines that were popular from 1930s to the 1950s - she has appropriated a 1950s cover of a scared woman in a convertible sports car and placed her in a wheat field in the USA heartland

Survivors path Kate TomicA mixture of natives and lovely Lilac blooms using soft and hard pastels on Colourfix pastel paper. This lilac bush grows in my backyard from a small cutting I planted over twenty years ago. It's the most beautiful sight when it flowers.
