Using a long lens I isolated a subset of pilings and worked to catch the reflection in Gastineau Channel

From my position in City Park I was able to position the setting sun at the Wells Fargo Building (Cash Register) and the mountains

These approach also give a nice perspective of the building itself

but that is part of the fun of the project in dealing with the elements presented to you each day and finding something to photograph which you are proud to post to the blog each day

While enjoying some ice cream at a shop in Hawai'i which gave you a view of a small beach in Lahaina I noticed the waves coming in and out

Dream a Little Dream Lake Size:24"x36" Using a long lens II could have stayed in bed and continued dreaming, however I woke up early and headed to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Bear Lake area. After photographing around Bear Lake at sunrise I hike a little over a mile to Dream Lake. As usual there was a stiff wind, and once I got to Dream Lake it just started to howl. I didn't spend much time around the lake, as this was also a scouting mission for future trips towards Dream Lake later this winter.
