Sunset in Greenland Presentation:Matted Late summer is the time

Late summer is the time of year when fields of sunflowers on the eastern plains of Colorado attract photographers

I zoomed in on this waterfall to capture the detail of the waterfall and then slightly moved the camera a little bit during the long exposure

I had planned to photograph around Bear Lake one morning

My plan was to find a good location with a view of the mountains and then see what the approach pattern was for the evening

The result of this voting was overwhelming and also brought a new perspective to me as my favorite images were not always those receiving the most votes

Sunset in Greenland Presentation:Matted Late summer is the timeFrom the back of the M V Ocean Nova I watched the sunset as we sailed south through the a fjord in the Northeast Greenland National Park. The layers of the rocks and water itself helped ground the image to provide a sense of place with the orange sky during dusk which also lit up the only clouds I saw on this day. While this was in early September, it would only be a couple of months until this area is frozen over with sea ice for the winter.
