Jubilee was inspired by Alvin Ailey's Cry, as danced by Judith Jamison a work that moves through sorrow, endurance, and finally, release. I wanted to sit in that final moment. The freedom. The breath. The joy that comes when you are no longer metaphorically "shackled" by carrying what once weighed you down. The
